Encerradas en el Cuarto / Locked in the Girls ROOM

This morning just like every day Pablo went to work and left me at bed, suddenly at 7:50 a.m. I heard thru the monitor Paola speaking. I tried to remain at bed but I then I heard both speaking and I decided to get off the bed. While washing my teeth they began to knock on their bedroom door and to move the lock.

When I went to their room to open the door I found out it was locked. Apparently they tried to open the door and accidentaly locked it. I talked with them and tried at the same time to open the door but I was not able to do it. This lasted around 10 minutes. At that moment they were tranquil and speaking to me. The unique thing that occurred was that I had to call Pablo to his work and tell him what happened. While I continued trying to open the door, since I was not being able t do it, he tells he was coming home (thanks God that the work at aprox.15 minutes of our house in car).
Already at this time Sofia had not been able to open the door and started crying and Paola continued speaking with me. Suddenly, Paola started to laugh and tells me "mommy, daddy is sleeping". I answer her: Not my love, he went to work. And there she began to cry because I think that her only hope was that her dad would wake up and open the door. Already then tere was two girls crying and a laughing mom.

Immediately afterwards,Super Pablo arrived and opened the door. Bravoooooooooooooo. When he opened the door the girls left as quickly as possible out of the room and they embraced us.

So this it is the first time that my girls are locked inside their room.

The rest of the day was very tranquil. I spent the afternoon alone with my mom and it was divine. Thanks mommy for the spectacular afternoon that we had.

Oh no! So sorry they were upset but it is funny to mommy. The girls have locked themselves in their room and then P.J. changed the lock around to face outside the door. One day I was cleaning their room and they locked me in! Ha!

OH NO!!

But to answer your question, I do speak spanish. both my parents are mexican so I spoke only spanish until I began kindergarten here in the Texas Panhandle. My kids now are bilingual at 3 and 2 in june. I think it's such a wonderful thing to know 2 languages, even more so when most people are only teaching their kids spanish even if they are of Latino decent.

Thanks for stopping by my dining room! I love having you over!

Ok so my daughter has locked her self in the house, TWICE. She did the same thing tried to open the door and it locked. The first time I had to call my husband, she was locked in the house 40 minutes and was flipping out. The second time was with my one year old boy in the house too. He was calm and he helped me get the back door open by moving the stick at the bottom of the door. Something my 2.5 year old wouldn't do. That time they were locked in the house maybe 1 minute.
Funny!
