Resumen del mes:

1. Fuimos a tres cumpleaños.

2. Las nenas tuvieron una pijamada con mi mamá.

3. Fueron a ver la película Ice Age 4.

5. Compramos cosas para el regreso a la escuela.

6. Las nenas comenzaron sus clases de modelaje.

7. Tuvimos dos intentos fallidos de días de juegos con amistades.

8. Mes de limpieza y reorganización en la casa (obviamente antes que comience el nuevo año escolar)

9. Hicimos trabajo comunitario en el colegio (pintando y remodelando la cafeteria).

10. Celebramos nuestro aniversario # 13 de casados.

11. Visitamos los pueblos de Guayanilla y Peñuelas

12. Fuimos al parque

Un mes bastante tranquilo para ser verano.

Dentista / Dentista

Hoy tuvimos nuestra cita de dentista. Todos estuvimos muy bien y sin caries. Cada niña recibió un cepillo dental y una pasta de dientes de princesas.

We had our dentist appointment today. No cavities, yay meeee!!. Both girls received a new brush and toothpaste (princess of course).

Limpieza

Las comidas de hoy fueron preparadas con gran entusiasmo por mis pequeñas ayudantes. En el desayuno Sofia y yo hicimos revoltillo con jamón y queso, pan y café (para nosotros dos). Luego, Paola me ayudó a preparar el arroz y el pollo. Ambas comidas estuvieron deliciosas. Después comenzó la jornada de limpieza. Lavamos las ventanas de toda la casa (excepto el cuarto de las nenas), cambiamos y lavamos cortinas, barrimos, mapeamos en fin, un día de limpieza profunda. La razón es que apenas estamos cerca del comienzo de clases y quiero tener todo extremadamente limpio y organizado y más por que no pierdo la esperanza de conseguir empleo.

Sábado

En la mañana lavé dos tandas de ropa en lo que llegaba la hora de terminar de pintar en el colegio. Ciertamente, hemos hecho un gran trabajo en el comedor está quedando hermoso. Luego en la noche fuimos a comer pizza.

Comedor escolar / School Cafeteria Part 3

Hoy realizamos la segunda fase en el comedor escolar del colegio. Retocamos las paredes y comenzamos a pintar las mesas. Hasta el momento todo se ve muy bien y estamos bastante ansiosos por terminar y ver el resultado final.

Today we did the second phase in the school cafeteria.  We retouch the walls and begin to paint the tables.  Up to now all is seen very well and we are quite anxious by finishing and to see the final result.

Cansados / Tired

Luego de haber pasado todo el día de ayer pintando hoy estuvimos todo el día en casa. Pablo tuvo trabajo y yo estuve limpiando un poco. Mientras las niñas jugaron, vieron televisión y pasaron largos ratos acostadas en el piso diciendo que estaban cansadas. Además la calor era insoportable.

After the busy day we had yesterday today we stayed at home all the day.  Pablo had work and I decided to clean a little bit.  While the girls played, watch some cartoons and spend a lot of time at the floor complaining about how tired they were, ha. BTW, today was a hotttttttttttttttt dayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.

Comedor de la escuela / School Cafeteria Part 2

Todo el día estuvimos pintando, pintando y pintando. Gracias a Dios el comedor está quedando hermoso. Mientras estuvimos en el colegio ambas niñas se cayeron y se pelaron las rodillas.

We spend all day painting, painting and painting.  Did I mention that we paint today? Ughhh, we are exhausted. Thanks God the cafeteria it's starting to look beautiful.  Oh yes, I mention that we paint alll day. While we were at school both girls fell and had scratch their knees.  Of course, one of them had the worst part.

Martes / Tuesday

Mi mañana transcurrió lavando ropa, preparando desayuno y hablando con mi mamá por teléfono. Como es costumbre los martes en la tarde Pablo no trabaja así que salimos a buscar algunas cosas necesarias para pintar el comedor mañana. Luego, estuvimos en el patio y las chicas bailaron y modelaron para nosotros.

My tomorrow elapsed doing some laundry, making breakfast and speaking with my mom by phone.  As every Tuesdays in the afternoon Pablo does not work so we leave to check some  things to paint the school cafeteria tomorrow.  Then, we were in the patio and the girls danced and they played.

Lunes / Monday

Definitivamente nuestro día no comenzó de la mejor manera. El gas se terminó así que por los próximos días la estufa estará de vacaciones. La alacena está básicamente vacía lo que significa que durante los próximos días las comidas serán ligeras. Aún me faltan cosas para el regreso a la escuela y no tengo idea de el momento en qué podré ir a comprarlas. Sencillamente, mi nivel de tolerancia está a prueba. En otro tema, las niñas realizaron un gran trabajo en su clase de modelaje. De hecho, la maestra me indicó que ellas lo hacen muy bien y llevan poco tiempo en la clase (apenas 6 clases).

Our day did not begin in the better way.  The gas was finished so for the next days the stove will be on vacations.  The pantry is basically empty that means that during the next days the meals are going to be light.  Still need things for back to school and I don't know when we are going to buy them.  Simply, my level of tolerance is so low.  In another news, the girls did  great job in their modeling class.  In fact, the teacher said me that they do it very well for the less time they are in class (barely 6 classes).

Comedor del Colegio / School Cafeteria Part 1

We went to the girls school around 11 am to start the makeover of the cafeteria (well is the kids dinning area). The screens were gross (really gross). The walls color is also horrible and no decorations. I mean how is that possible? Is a place for kids, ugh. Anyway we did lots of cleaning and are ready to paint this Wednesday.

We finish all the cleaning at 3 o'clock and headed to Burger King and to our home to eat.

After that we went to the backyard and while the girls played we cleaned. Then it was time to showers (from head to toes) and after breakfast for dinner.

Before bed they check Daddy's game.

I think they were tired so we put them to bed at 9:30 but they want to talk, so they fall asleep two hours later.

Día Lluvioso / Rainy day

Sí desde que te despiertas está nublado y luego lluvioso qué haces? La respuesta es sencilla, nada. Eso fue lo que hicimos nosotras hoy. Simplemente jugamos diferentes cosas, ellas jugaron juntas, vimos televisión y comimos. Después de Pablo salir de trabajar lavé dos tandas de ropa y nos fuimos a comprar los regalos para los cumpleaños que tenemos mañana. Ese fue nuestro día.

If when you awake is cloudy and then is rainy, what do you do?  The answer is simple, nothing. That was what we did today.  Just play different games, they played together, saw cartoons and ate.  After Pablo leave work I washed two loads of clothes and we went to buy the gifts for two birthday's tomorrow.  That was our day.

Miércoles / Wednesday

A las 5 am Sofía llegó a mi cuarto diciendo que no podía dormir. En mi cuarto no se podía dormir por la calor así que me fuí con ella para su cuarto. Nos levantamos a las 9:55, nada mal. Nuestro tiempo en la casa transcurrió sin problemas excepto, al momento de salir para la clase de modelaje que comenzaron a discutir. Luego, fuimos a la clase de modelaje y todo estuvo bien. Después mi mamá nos llevó a comer a Pizza Hut y luego, fuimos a K-Mart. Gracias a Dios allí pude conseguir los tennis para la escuela (mi mamá se los compró y también unas sandalias nuevas).

At 5 o'clock am Sofía arrived at my room saying that she could not sleep. We don't have a/c at our room so we headed to her room and sleep near her.  We sleep until 9:55, nothing badly.  Our time in the house was nice except, to the moment to leave for their modeling class when they start fighting.  Then, they were fine and did a great job at their class.  Later my mom carried us to eat at Pizza Hut and then, we went to K-Mart.  My mom bought their tennis (for school) and new sandals.

1. Here is so hot, argggghhh.

2. Today we did a quick visit to the girls school and then headed to play at BK.

3. We have only three more weeks of summer and then back to school.

4. Two weeks from tomorrow is my birthday (who's counting?)

5. At the moment, not so much luck with jobs.

6. The english teacher position at my girls school still is available.

Lunes / Monday

Aquí era un día feriado hoy (no se que se celebraba) de todos modos resultó ser un día normal. La única diferencia fue que en vez de Pablo salir a las 5 salió a las 3. Nosotras no hicimos nada durante el tiempo que estuvimos solas. Solo esperamos que una maestra del colegio viniera a venderme unos libros y ya. Cuando Pablo llegó decidimos poner la piscina y luego salimos a comer pizza. Hoy no hubo clase de modelaje.

PS: Hoy en la noche revisé todas mis cosas de maestra, será eso un buen augurio. En seis años nunca me dió por buscar esas cosas.

Today was a holiday (don't know what we celebrated, ha) anyway it was a normal day for us.  The only difference was that instead of Pablo to leave work at 5 o'clock he left at 3 o'clock.  We did not do anything during the time we were alone.  Just a received a quick visit from one the girls teacher who sell me two books for them. When Pablo arrived we decide to put the pool and then headed to eat pizza.  Just a boring day.

PS:  I check all my stuff for a classroom, will be that a good prediction.  Is the first time In six years that I go thru all that stuff.

Regresaron / They Are Back

Por fin, mis bebés están con nosotros. Hoy tuvieron un gran día con su abuela que culminó con la película Ice Age 4. Fue estupendo abrazarlas y besarlas, al parecer se habían ido por un año, jaja.

The girls are back from my parents house. They had a wonderful time with them and ended the day with Ice Age 4. But Pablo and I are so glad they are with us again.

Today the girls went to my parents house to spend the night with them.

They were so happy because is a "pijama party" for them and my mom, hahaha.

After we dropped them early this afternoon Pablo and I went to the shopping mall.

 Is a free tax weekend for school supplies.

We bought their uniforms and other stuff but we don't have more money to buy the books, oh well.

Viernes

Hace una semana una ex compañera de trabajo y yo quedamos en vernos hoy. Se suponía que vendría en la tarde para conversar y las niñas jugar. Ayer, yo le deje mensaje para que confirmara que vendría y no contestó. Le dejé varios mensajes y nada al final, envío a otra persona a dejarme un mensaje diciendo que no vendría y que yo la llamara. Obviamente, yo no la llamé. Todo parece haber coincidido con el día: viernes 13.

Día del Aniversario / Anniversary Day

Our wedding anniversary was on Tuesday.

Pablo spend the morning working and had the afternoon free so, we went out.

We visited to towns near us and later went to two parks (things changed when you have kids, haha)

First town: Guayanilla

We went to ate lunch and after that, headed to the parks.

When we arrived home we checked our wedding album and some pictures of the girls when they were little.

It was a different but amazing day.
