Hablemos de Kindergarten / Let's Talk About Kindergarten

During last month we as parents find us in a little difficult situation thinking about which school should be the best for the girls on this next school year. Certainly, the school in which they did the pre kindergarten offers kindergarten but, there was certain areas in which it did not filled our expectations, thus then, after analyzing it we knew that the change had to occur. It was an intense month seeking schools and analyzing each one of them (yes, it was a difficult decision). The catholic school in our hometown was not an option for us but, for some reason I arrived there without planning it with the girls. They were charmed with the school since the first moment and they said that they wanted to go there. In every moment I presented them other options but in the end we finished with the same answer. Additional to this, I started to the last minute a search for work and among the places that I visited it was this School (sadly I have not yet find employment). For me it would have been marvelous to work in the same place with the girls since this would have nade easy the transportation issue. Last Friday, we received a call from the School's director, first we thought not going but we end up going anyway and we are glad we decided to go. After receiving answers to our questions and obviously we informed the principal that I am a teacher (who knows if there might be a job opportunity in the future) we decided that it would be the place for them.

Now they will start at 7:30 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. It will be a whole day of learning and they will even have their religion class. It's just a 5 minutes drive from home, is big enough, it has computers, lunchroom (that is free), in short, a great change. We are very confident in God that they will do well and that their enthusiasm will not disappear.

Now we have a negative point and the fact is that the decision was done last Friday, which means that at this time we are on the run buying all the things they need but, we will achieve it and when they start on Monday, they will be ready.

First of all, so so happy you had a wonderful birthday! Your family sure knows how to celebrate properly. You guys always show so much love and appreciation for each other! So sweet!

I am also happy that you found a school that everyone is excited about. This summer went by so fast, I can't believe it's time for school already. We're all going to learn new routines that's for sure. Congratulations to you and the girls!!! Can't wait to hear all about their first day.
