Itinerario / Schedule

Diariamente:
* barro toda la casa
* limpio los topes de la cocina
* organizo aquellas cosas que por alguna razón fueron a parar a otro sitio
* frego todo lo que se usa en el momento y es a mano, aquí no existe una lavadora de platos, bueno sí, nosotros mismos ja!
* reviso los bultos de la escuela y hacemos las asignaciones

Cada dos o tres días:
* lavo ropa y la guardo (si acumulas la ropa tanto para lavar como para guardar no te darán ánimos de hacer nada con ella)
* mapeo toda la casa
* lavado y secado de mi pelo

Semanalmente:
* limpieza total de la casa
* plancho la ropa a usar en la semana
* hacemos compra (les había comentado que no me gusta ir al supermercado)
* pedicura y facial

Cada dos semanas:
* cambio y lavado de sabanas

Cada dos o tres meses:
* lavado de ventanas

Fines de semana:
* tiempo en familia
* vamos a la iglesia

Annie

This is my work routine that up to now has been very useful for me.

Daily:
* sweep all the house
* clean all kitchen tops
* I organize those things that for some reason are misplaced
* I wash everything at the moment and is by hand, we do not have a dishwasher,
* I revise the school books and we do the assigments

Every two or three days
* I do laundry and put all clothes in it's place (if you accumulate to much clothes, it will make you feel like not doing it)
* I mop all the house
* wash and blowdry my hair

Weekly:
* total cleaning of the house
* I iron the clothes to be used during the week
* grocery shopping (I had commented that i do not like to go to the supermarket)
* pedicure and facial

Every other week:
* change and wash bedspreads

Each two or three months:
* window washing

End of week:
* time in family
* we go to church

Not to elaborate but it is very functional for me.

Ejercicios / Exercises

.

As the years go by, things change and we should adjust to those changes. In the past my girls were completely dependent of me and now they are completely independent and this at the same time gives me the opportunity to do things that I like and for some reason they were left in the past. Having that in mind I decided that it was important to start to exercise again. Obviously my first option was to revive Jillian Michaels, jaja. Now I'm on my third week of exercises and is going very well. The next thing that I am planning to do weekly is a pedicure, a facial and two times a week blowdry my hair (all this at the comfort and tranquility of my home). Thee are simple things but after all they help me strengthen my spirit and rise my self-esteem.

Therefore, I take advantage of the independence that the girls have acquired in this time to do something productive with my time.

Annie

PS: Next post: Time management while the girls are in school and my husband is at work.

Random

* reforzar la lectura y escritura
* jugar, jugar y jugar
* resucitar las películas de Barney
* asistir a un zumbatón (no participé solo fuimos a "trabajar")
* ir a la iglesia
* hornear

Our days of peace and tranquility in which the alarm did not went on at 5:30 am consisted of:
* practice reading and writing
* play, play and play
* reborn of the old Barney movies

* attended a zumba marathon (I did not participated, we went to "work")
* went to church
* baked

Certainly some days of relaxation were really needed. Did I forgot to say that today was the first completely sunny day in many days. We hope God will let us have a marvelous week.

Lluvia y Feriado / Rain and Holiday

Annie

It's been almost a week of rainy days and not just simple rain, there has been flood warnings and all that. The most difficult part of when it rains during the afternoon is the moment of picking up the girls at school. It is hard to be sure that both girls have their raincoats, to carry their books, the lunchboxes and to spot the places with less water to walk. And another thing is to find a good parking, haha. The truth is that without those moments everything would be a routine and if only they do not get wet nor get sick, all is very well.

In other things, today was a holiday here and tomorrow is free too so we will be here in a looooong weekend, 4 days in which I will not have to worry if it rains or not.

Today in the first free day (holiday) Pablo did not have to work so our day was spent in our house. We cleaned the mini van (it really needed it), we made laundry, I ironed the uniforms for next week, in short, it was a very tranquil day but, let me tell you that today it also rained and the girls decided to play with their umbrellas in the rain. It was a fabulous day.

Bizcochitos y Piscina / Cupcakes and Pool

Annie

I love the days in which you only have to do light things at the house (there is always something to do like cooking, fixing the beds, dishwashing) but the best is not to invest all day cleaning or tiding up when Pablo and the girls are at home. Thanks to God it was another day in which we woke up after 9 (thus we reloaded energies), generally, on Sundays our breakfast consists of fried eggs, coffee (adults only) and bread. While they played I cleaned the kitchen and I looked all the ingredients to do cupcakes (that was the surprise of the day). We love to bake in family and we enjoy it a lot. In that interval in which the cupcakes were baked we started to do the laundry. Then we went to my mom's house to pick up some lunch she made and when we returned we filled the pool. While they were getting the pool ready I decided to do exercises (I've been doing them all week). Next we continued enjoying together, had dinner and ended up with a rich ice cream.

Finally, the most important thing is to give thanks to God for permitting us to enjoy a great day together .

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!!!

Annie

A magnificent day in company of the people that I love. Our day began sleeping until 10:00 (this is called luck). Later pancakes for breakfast. Then, a construction worker showed up to work on our ceiling and we finally fixed a tire of the van. But the best part was later when we went to an agricultural festival (before arriving we had some small misfortunes to the point that before we arrived there it started to rain). The girls enjoyed a lot, they gave food to goats, they ride ponies, we saw different animals, we had a great time. Thanks to God we could enjoy together some good time of tranquility and to move away from the daily routine. To end our day we went to church and ate pizza.

Ocurrencias / Occurrences

Me encanta tu pelo.

Annie

The other day, at Walgreens this was a conversation of Sofía and me:

Sofía: Why you have that?

Me: What thing?

Sofía: These, they are large, is because the way you are standing?.

Me: What are you talking about?

Sofía: (Giving me a slap in the buttocks), did they became this big because you are a grown up. Will I get them bigger when I get older..

Me: Looking at Pablo and laughing I told him "These girls are making me blush (obviously I could not feel the red on my face).

*************************************************

Every night before closing the door of their room both girls tell me things:

Sofía: Mommy you look pretty. Mommy sleep well. I love you to the sky. You are beautiful. I love your hair. I like your dress.

Paola: Mommy I love you to a number that I do not know because is a lot. Sleep well. Mommy remember to change this (any thing). She finishes blowing me many kisses and from time to time giving me kisses and hugs.

Love my girls

Domingo / Sunday

Esto fue lo que hicimos hoy:

* Sofía nos despertó a las 9:45

* Tomó su leche.

* 9:55 despertó Paola.

* 10:20 Pablo salió de la cama por tercera vez y se fue a comprar las cosas del desayuno con Sofia.

* Paola y yo nos quedamos jugando con las princesas en mi cama.

* Preparamos el desayuno (huevo frito, pan y café (solo para nosotros dos).

* Pablo y Sofía limpiaron la cocina mientras Paola jugaba.

* Ellos tres jugaron un rato mientras yo hablaba con mi mamá por teléfono.

* Pablo limpió el patio.

* Las niñas jugaron en el patio por un rato mientras yo recogía las camas y barría la casa.

* Lavamos ropa.

* Recorté a Pablo.

* Nos bañamos y salir a hacer compras.

* Cenamos (sí, no hubo almuerzo por que el desayuno fue tarde).

* Planché la ropa de la semana.

Annie

This is what we did today:

* Sofía woke up at 9:45 am

* Drink milk.

* 9:55 Paola wakes up .

* 10:20 Pablo left the bed by third time and went to buy bread and milk for breakfast with Sofia. * Paola and I stayed at bed playing with the princesses.

* We made breakfast (fried eggs, bread and coffee (just for the two of us).

* Pablo and Sofía cleaned the kitchen while Paola played.

* Pablo and the girls played while I talked with my mom by telephone.

* Pablo cleaned the patio.

* The girls played in the patio while I was making the beds and sweeping the house.

* We do some laundry.

* I cut Pablo's hair.

* We took a shower and went shopping.

* We had dinner (there was no lunch because the breakfast was late).

* I ironed the clothes of the week.

In reality Sunday is not my favorite day because the simple fact of going shopping for groceries takes a lot of time. Pablo and I were talking about making some adjustments in the week so that on Saturday and Sunday we may have the opportunity to do other things together.

Sábado / Saturday

Nuestro día:

* Pablo tenía trabajo todo el día así que la casa era solo de chicas.

* Paola se levantó a las 9:25 y claro entre abrir y cerrar de ojos yo terminé levantándome a esa hora.

* Tiempo para estar a solas con Paola.

* Paola despertó a su hermana a las 9:45.

* Luego, ellas tomaron su leche y se fueron a ver su programa favorito (My little Pony). Mientras yo, cambié las sábanas y colchas de las tres camas.

* Desayuno: huevo hervido

* Limpieza de pisos (barrer y mapear) y lavar las sábanas.

* Las actividades favoritas de las niñas para el día fueron jugar, usar la computadora y ver algunos favoritos de televisión (obviamente, los que no ven mientras están en la escuela).

* Bañarnos, almorzar y salir a buscar a Pablo.

* Correr bicicleta frente a nuestra casa

* Fuimos a la iglesia.

* Comimos pizza.

* Vimos los fuegos artificiales y a unos músicos en la plaza del pueblo.

Fue bastante bueno y tranquilo.

Annie

Our day:

* Pablo had to work all day so the house was just for the girls.

* Paola woke up at 9:25 am and I end up getting up too.

* Time to be alone with Paola.

* Paola woke up her sister at 9:45 am.

* Then, they had their milk and they watched their favorite program (My little Pony). While I changed the sheets and bedspreads of the three beds.

* Breakfast: boiled eggs

* Cleaning floors (sweep and mop) and wshing the sheets.

* The favorite activities of the girls for the day were playing, using the computer and watching some television (obviously, the ones that do not see while thay are in the school).

* A shower, lunch and go out to get Pablo.

* Riding their bicycles in front of the house

* We went to church.

* We ate pizza.

* We saw the fireworks and some musicians at the town's plaza.

It was a very good and tranquil day.

Annie

Our weekend was good.

Friday: We did not sent the girls to school since they would be there for just 3 hours and in reality that did not deserve to wake up at 5:30 am therefore, the girls and I we had a very relaxed day and when Pablo came back from work brought us food, so that was even better.

Saturday: The morning was tranquil and we dedicated the afternoon to clean and organize the family room (that is always the worst room of the house). Then, to church and finally to buy snacks for school.

Sunday: Our sleep was interrupted due to an electricity blackout, It didn't came back until 8 am (horrible to sleep without the fan). When we woke up we made breakfast (the girls asked for hot dogs so that we ate) and then to bathe and dress up to attend the Festival of the Coffee (activity where they show things made of coffee and at the end there is a parade). The activity was fun but also exhausting because we went in a float made by the bank in which Pablo works. But, in spite of all we had a good weekend.
