Today was our disastrous baking day. The recipe for cookies was not the best, none of us liked them. I asked Paola to taste one of the cookies and she answered that she prefered the other ones (Cameo), ha. I was trying to do chocolate balls and the chocolate got burned, therefore the balls finished in the refrigerator until we can buy more chocolate. The only good things were the pineapple and coconut cupcakes (at least those came out right because they were for Pablo to take to his work).
Even so I still want to do COOKIES, please can someone give me a tasty, simple, and easy recipe, maybe sweet cookies or something like that. Just for the fun of it here I you can see the results of my baking afternoon disaster.
Happy Christmas Eve and God bless you always.
Annie

Oh no....sorry to hear about your disaster. My friend... I don't have a great recipe to give you. I just bought the sugar cookie mix from the store...that's pretty safe..ha! Feliz Navidad!!!
Oh no! Nothing worse than burnt chocolate. Ewww...
Easy cookies...
1 c. peanut butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
Combine ingredients. Roll into tablespoon sized balls and bake in 350 degree oven for 7-10 minutes.
YUM!
Have a very Merry Christmas!
I cheated and bought the premixed dough and just rolled it out and baked it this year
Oh Annie, this post just cracked me up!! It looks like we could be baking buddies, my cookies rarely turn out : ) It sounds like you and your girls had a fun time with it though : )
Have a wonderful Christmas Eve!!

Chocolate Chip Cookies (the best)
2 ¼ cups flour (2 ½ for softer cookies)
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1 cup Crisco and 1 tbsp. water (or 1 cup butter, but cookies won’t be as good)HERE I UESD BUTTER FLAVOR CRISCO and NO Water...DO NOT USE butter.
¾ cup white sugar
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 cups chocolate chip cookies (more is better!)
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Mix first three ingredients and set aside.
Beat Crisco, 2 sugars, and vanilla with a mixer until well combined, about five minutes (at least five minutes longer is better – this is key to making great cookies!).
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Gradually beat in flour mixture until moistened.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Bake 8-12 minutes or more, depending on oven (or depending on the size you make the cookies!).
Monitor your time as all ovens are different. As you are baking them...do not open the oven...look at them through the glass. once you feel they are perfect, take them out and let cool. Cook remaining cookies to the exact time you cooked the first ones...
Makes five dozen small cookies (or two dozen really large ones!)
I hope everything works out...sorry about the burned ones.
Merry CHRISTmas
