Aloha Friday!!!!

click the button to play along with Kailani at An Island Life

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day to take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

My question:

You are with your kids eating at a restaurant and at some point one of them say that wants to poop, so what do you do?

a. Go to the nasty restroom

b. Go to the van and put a diaper

c. Go to the van and use the potty but you know the car is not going to smell good.

d. Other

My answer:

Because I know my girls are so picky we ran to the van and put a pull up. Is much better than an accident at the restaurant, right.

Happy Friday and enjoy the weekend.

Annie

Gosh this is so hard but I'm a freak & always carry purell with me so I wash down the toilet with it! Then let them use it...I dont want them to think it's ok for them to potty in their pants.

Hmmmm... Yeah, I probably would have done the same thing you did. :P

I think I would do what you did. I wish we had a van... we have a sedan we've changed diapers in the trunk before and each time we got loud comments from passerbys. A van would be good too if we bring the actual potties with us. I'm sure my girls will be picky too.

I dread going to public restrooms with my girls! I look forward to no more diapers, but I don't look forward to that!

Thank goodness my son is just starting to potty train so I haven't had to deal with that yet. :( I don't look forward to it. I think I'd take him to the bathroom, but I really need to stock up on antibacterial wipes so I can wipe everything off in that entire bathroom stall. lol

Have a great weekend!

id have to say c. im too freaked out about public restrooms especially to let my kids go in them (even tho i have no kids yet-im thinking about the future) but i think it depends on their age.

Not sure, guess it would depend on how nasty the bathroom was.

Thank goodness my kids are old enough to deal with their own problems. I don't want to hear about their bowels.

We use whatever available bathroom there is, but we do have a potty in the van for whenever we're on the road.

Have a great weekend!

It woudl probably depend on how nast the bathroom is, gas station nasty, we would go to the car for a diaper, just unclean we would tough it out and make sure to take a bath that evening, and was our hands really well.

I would take mine to the rest room.

Luckily I don't have to worry about that anymore - my kids are 13 & 10. But I might do what you did.

Have a great day.

i would probably have them use the bathroom, teach them how to hold their breath while in the bathroom and not touch anything -- then purell away!!

a similar situation happened the other night, we were at my nephews ball game and the bathrooms are totally gross at the ballpark. Ella had to go (only potty) but we were getting ready to head home anyways. she held it for over 20minutes during the car ride -- I was VERY nervous the whole drive, but it worked! whew!!

when they were younger i would use a pull-up as a backup.
