Feliz Día de Brujas / Happy Halloween

Espero que todas tengan un magnífico día. Quiero compartir algunos consejitos que no deben olvidar para un día como hoy y que harán que sea más seguro:

1. Los niños no deben ir solos.

2. Preferiblemente salir en grupo para evitar riesgos.

3. No salir a recoger los dulces demasiado tarde en la noche.

4. Revisar todos los dulces.

5. Llevar una linterna por que uno nunca sabe si se corta la electricidad.

Sí hay alguien interesado en que añada su blog a mi lista me deja un mensaje, por favor. A todas aquellas personas de las que soy seguidora de sus blogs les recuerdo que dentro de la situación he tratado de visitar sus blogs y dejar mensajes, para mí un mensaje vale mucho y no toma demasiado tiempo escribirlo. Por eso les pido disculpas sí me han tenido un poco alejada.

Gracias por los buenos deseos de que me mejore pronto, ahora tengo una tos horrorosa (muy apta para el Día de Brujas) pero tan solo espero que no me dé bronquitis.

Espero que pasen un feliz fin de semana (digo espeluznante por que celebraremos Halloween).
Disfruten mucho y coman pocos dulces, no olviden las dietas.

Mi Agenda Para Navidad / Christmas' Agenda

Ya van tres semanas desde que comenzamos con esto Mónica y yo (nadie más se atrevió en la aventura). Las áreas que tenemos ya listas de nuestra agenda son:

1. Presupuesto - Listo
2. Revisar las decoraciones de Navidad y anotar lo que haga falta por comprar - Listo
3. Limpieza y Organización: cuarto matrimonial y el armario - Listo

Para está semana las tareas eran:

1. Anotar los nombres de las personas a las cuáles le regalaremos en Navidad y los posibles regalos - Listo
2. Hacer las citas para manicura, pedicura, spa, cortes de cabello, etc. (esto es sí aplica a tú presupuesto). En mi caso solo aplica el corte de cabello - Listo
3. Sí tendras una fiesta en tu casa debes comenzar a prepárarte para ella (revisar la vajilla, los manteles, etc.). En mi caso sé que recibiré la visita de familiares y aunque no tengo el día exacto en que vendrán ya todo está revisado y anoté las cosas que debo comprar (menos mal que no son muchas) - Listo
4. Limpieza y Organización: cocina y cuarto de los niños - Listo (que muchas cosas se sacan cuando se limpia).

Hasta el momento vamos por muy buen camino y sí aún hay alguien que no se ha animado a participar de esto la invito a que comience, todavía están a tiempo.

Tareas para la próxima semana:

Comienza la búsqueda de manualidades que desees hacer con tus niños (puedes incluir hacer galletas, anótalas en tu calendario). Sí vas a enviar postales navideñas ya es tiempo de seleccionarlas y actualizar tu lista de direcciones. Comienza las compras de los materiales que necesites para envolver los regalos (cinta adhesiva, papel de regalo, tarjetas, cintas) y aprovecha cada ves que vayas a una tienda para comprar poco a poco los regalos que necesitas. Limpieza y organización: cuarto familiar y armarios (pasillo o cualquier otro lugar de la casa).

Mis fotos aparecerán tan pronto podamos subir el disco a la computadora de Pablo (su máquina usa Windows Vista así que no sabemos sí aceptará el disco de Kodak).

It has been three weeks since Monica and started with this (no one else dared to get in the adventure). The areas that have completed on our agenda are:

1. Budget - Ready

2. Revision of the Christmas decorations and to write down what do we need to buy - Ready

3. Cleaning and Organizing: master bedroom and closet - Ready

For this week the tasks were:

1. Make a list with the names of the people to which you wish to give on Christmas and the possible gifts - Ready

2. Doing the appointments for manicure, pedicure, spa, hair cuts, etc. (If it fits in your budget). In my case only the hair cut applies - Ready

3. If you are going to have a party or guests at home you should start checking all the stuff you need (dishess, tablecloths, etc.). - Ready

4. Cleaning and Organizing: kitchen and kids room - Ready (a lot of things are removed when you are cleaning, right).

Up to now we are on our way but if there is someone that it is encouraged to participate of this I invite you to start, there is still time.

Tasks for next week:

Start searching for handicrafts that you wish to do with your children (can include cookies, write them in your calendar). If you are going to send Christmas postcards is time to select them and to bring up to date your mailing list. Start buying the materials needed to wrap gifts (adhesive tape, wrapping paper, cards, tapes) and takes advantage of each trip to the mall to buy little by little the gifts that you need. Cleaning and organization: family room and closet (walkway or any other place of the house).

My photos will appear so soon as possible, waiting for my computer to get fix.

Computadora dañada, programas de tv y otras cosas / Broken computer, tv shows and other things

Hoy llevamos la computadora al técnico así que entre mañana y el jueves podremos saber qué ocurrió exactamente y sí las fotos son recuperadas así que a cruzar los dedos para que todo salga bien y no nos cobre mucho dinero por el trabajo,jajaja.

Quería comentarles que no sé sí a ustedes les ha pasado que se vuelven fanáticas de un programa que ni siquiera les llamaba la atención solo porque un día se sentaron a verlo con su esposo. Pues a mí sí me sucedió, todos los lunes me siento a ver la lucha libre con él. Y dejénme decirles que no he cambiado mi mentalidad de que es un deporte bruto y salvaje, pero, hay unos luchadores tan divinos que te hacen olvidar esos pensamientos,jajaja. Yo le digo a Pablo que yo veo las luchas por ver a John Cena, que guapote. Ahora les toca a ustedes decirme que programa ven con sus esposos que antes no les llamaba la atención.

Mis planes para el resto de la semana son: finalizar la limpieza del cuarto de las nenas y terminar de empacar las cosas que son para regalar a otras personas (esa es la ventaja de estas limpiezas). También ya estoy haciendo los espacios necesarios para cuando necesite almacenar cosas (en el próximo mes). Posiblemente el viernes (sí estamos mejor de salud) tendremos un compartir de Halloween en la casa (nada elaborado y como diriamos aquí será la fiesta del sorullo, cada cual trae lo suyo).

Quiero agradecerles los mensajes que me han dejado, de verdad que aprecio cada uno de ellos y más aún es un momento en el que verdaderamente uno sabe quién es quién. Gracias amigas.

Today we took my computer to the technician so maybe tomorrow or Thursday we will be able to know what happened and if the photos can be recovered so cross your fingers and let's hope for the best and that we don't have to spend a lot of money, hahaha.

Just for fun, I want to comment about programs that I didn't like but suddenly I am a huge fan of it. For example, every Monday my husband watches WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment) and it was something that I didn't like but, since three years ago, I'm a big fan of it. Can you believe it. I do not know if this has happened to you that you have become fanatic of a program that it did not even cought your attention because one day you sat down to see it with your husband. Well this happened to me, every Monday I sit down to watch wrestling with him.Let me tell you that I have not changed my mentality that it is a wild and rough sport, but, there are some so divine fighters that makes you forget about those thoughts, hahaha. I tell Pablo that I see the fights to seeJohn Cena, that hunk. Now is your turn to tell me which programs you see with your husbands that never cought your attention before.

My plans for the remainder of the week are: to finalize cleaning the girl's room and to finish packing the things that we will give other people (that is the advantage of these cleaning). Also I am making space for things I need to store (in the next month). Possibly Friday (if I am feeling better) we will have a Halloween reunion in the house (nothing fancy).

Tanto Tiempo / Long Time

• Espero que hayan tenido un fin de semana espectacular. Como ustedes saben mi computadora no funciona. Pablo ha intentado de todo pero nada resulta así que la máquina deberá llevarse a un técnico. La computadora prende pero no pasa hasta donde están los íconos (en realidad la pantalla se queda negra, lo que es sinónimo de que el virus explotó). Cuando el pasado domingo intentamos rescatar la máquina pudimos ver el nombre del virus Logonui, así que les sirve de algo, cuidado.

A continuación una recapitulación de nuestra pasada semana:

• Lunes: Realicé diversas tareas de limpieza en la casa y realizamos algunas tareas escolares.
  



• Martes: Fuimos al dentista para arreglarme una muela y llevar a las nenas a su primera cita. La cita con ellas no fue la mejor ya que lloraron y no dejaron que les limpiaran los dientes. Pero, sí se pusieron contentas cuando les regalaron un cepillo de dientes de las Princesas. Luego, fuimos a Toys R Us y compramos una casita de brincos pequeña para las niñas con el dinero que recibieron de cumpleaños de parte de su Padrino Luis.



• Miércoles: Fue todo el día para saltar, saltar y saltar en la casa de brincos. De más esta decir que la siesta de la tarde fue espectacular,ja. Durante la noche Paola comenzó a tener fiebre.



• Jueves: Fuimos al pediatra ya que Paola continuaba con la fiebre y como ustedes saben todavía no se puede bajar la guardia por el virus de la fiebre porcina. También aprovechamos y realizamos el chequeo de los tres años.
  Sofia: 32 lbs y 37" (dentro de lo promedio)
  Paola: 27 lbs y 36" (dentro de lo promedio) pero, le enviaron a hacer una radiografía de la mano izquierda para medir el crecimiento de sus huesos y saber sí está creciendo "normalmente".



• Viernes: Yo comencé a sentir mi garganta bastante irritada y estoy tomando antibióticos. Ese día llevé a Paola a sacar su radiografía y luego fuimos a realizarle un CBC para ver como estaban sus glóbulos y la hemoglobina. En ambas hay áreas de preocupación así que esperaremos hasta mañana lunes que el pediatra diga.



• Sábado: Limpieza y luego salimos con mi mamá.



• Domingo: Aquí estamos las tres solas ya que Pablo está trabajando. Las niñas han estado viendo muñequitos en la TV y yo estoy lavando la ropa.

Eso ha sido lo ocurrido en estos días. Esta semana haré los mensajes como de costumbre y aunque no tengan fotos.

Quiero recordarles que este jueves continuamos con la "Agenda de Navidad" y la nueva tarea es: escribir el nombre de las personas que le regalarás y pensar en los posibles regalos, comenzar a comprar la ropa que usarás durante las fiestas navideñas. Es el momento ideal para que realices las citas correspondientes: para recortes, pedicura, manicura o spa (esto es si tu presupuesto te lo permite o sí lo deseas como regalo de Navidad). Sí vas a tener una fiesta en tu casa debes pensar en el menú y los utensilios que necesites comprar como por ejemplo: revisar la vajilla o comprar platos desechables rojos o verdes (los colores de la Navidad, además recuerda que es el momento ideal para comprarlos ya que nadie está pensando todavía en comprar esto para la Navidad). En el área de la limpieza y organización esta semana trabajaremos la cocina y el cuarto de los niños. Parece mucho pero en realidad no lo es así que Animo que todavía tenemos tiempo de hacer todo esto y nos quedará fantástico.

I hope you all have had a spectacular weekend. As you know my computer is not working. Pablo has tried everything but nothing results so the machine should be taken to a technician. The computer turns on but does not goes to where are the icons (in reality the screen remains black, what is synonym that the virus exploited). When last Sunday we tried to rescue the machine we could see the name of the virus Logonui, hope this could help with something, take care.

Subsequently a recapitulation of last week:

• Monday: I completed some tasks of cleaning in the house and made some school tasks.



• Tuesday: We went the dentist to get molar fix and the girls had their first checkup. The appointment with them was not the best since they cried and did not wanted to show their teeth. Eventually they did let the dentist check them and ended up very happy when he gave them a Princesses toothbrush each. Then, we went to Toys R Us and we buy a little bouncing house with the money they received of birthday on behalf of their Godfather Luis.



• Wednesday: It was all the day to jump, to jump and to jump in the bouncing house. I just have to say that the afternoon siesta was spectacular, ha. During the night Paola began to have fever.



• Thursday: We went the pediatrician since Paola continued with the fever and as you know no one should let the guard down with all this porcine fever around. We also had sofia checkup. Sofia: 32 lbs and 37" (inside it average) Paola: 27 lbs and 36" (inside it average) but, she was sent to do a x-ray of the left hand to measure the growth of her bones and to know if she is growing "normally".



• Friday: I began to feel my throat very irritated and I am taking antibiotics. That day I took Paola to her x-ray and then we went to have a blood test on each to monitor their hemoglobin. In both there are areas of worry (low signs) so we will wait until tomorrow Monday to see what the pediatrician has to say.



• Saturday: Cleaning and going out with my mom.



• Sunday: Here we are all alone since Pablo is working. The girls have been seeing toons on the TV and I am doing laundry.

This has been the events of these last days. This week I will do the messages as usual but maybee won't be abble to post photos.

I want to remeber you that this Thursday we will continue with the "Agenda Christmas" and the new task is: to write the name of the people that you will give and to think about the possible gifts, to begin to buy clothes that we will use during Christmas. It is the ideal moment to complete the corresponding appointments: for haircuts, pedicure, manicure or spa (this is if your budget permits or if you desire it as a Christmas gift). If you are going to have a party in your house you should think about the menu and the utensils that you need to buy as for example: to review the dishess or to buy disposable red or green dishes (the colors of Christmas, remember that is the ideal moment to buy them since nobody is thinking of buying this for Christmas at this moment). In the area of the cleaning and organization this week we will work the kitchen and the children's room. It seems a lot but in reality it is not so I Encourage you that there's still time to do all this and will be fantastic.

Mi Computadora Murió / My Computer Died

El domingo mientras leía mis blogs mi computadora se trancó. Desde ese momento parece que se fue a una mejor vida (para ella) y una peor para mí. Sí la peor parte me la llevo yo por que allí están todas las fotos de las nenas desde que tenían cuatro meses (esa es la desventaja de las cámaras dígitales, simplemente las bajas en la computadora y te olvidas) y cuando pasan estas cosas dices: por que no imprimí las fotos.

Sí alguien puede ayudarme y decirme que puedo hacer, aparentemente cogió un virus y se trancó. Muchas de ustedes son expertas en las computadoras así que por favor, les solicito su ayuda. También quiero pedirle pues su consideración ya que trataré de visitar los blogs todos los días, es un poco difícil puesto que la computadora que estoy usando es la de mi querido esposito y no me gusta abusar (aunque si por mí fuera lo dejaba sin ninguna,jajaja, es mentira).

Sunday while I was reading my blogs my computer crashed. Since that moment seems that it went to live a better life and a worse one for me. Yes the worst part I because there are all the photos of my girls since they were four months (that is the disadvantage of digital cameras, you simply download them in the computer and forget them there) and when things like this happens you say: why I did not printed the photos.

If someone can help me and to tell me what I can do, apparently it caught a virus and crashed. Many of you are experts in computers so please, I request for your aid. Also I want to ask for some consideration since I will try to visit the blogs every day, it is a little difficult since the computer that I am using is of my darling husband and i do not like to abuse (although I should let him without it, hahaha, is a lie, I would't do that).

Letras B y C / Letters B and C

Durante las últimas semanas hemos trabajado con las letras B y C. Como maestra sé que lo mejor es comenzar por lo más sencillo para facilitar el aprendizaje (entiéndase comenzar con las cinco vocales) pero, la competencia con Barney es demasiado fuerte. Y resulta que ellas se han memorizado el abecedario (digo memorizar por que no es lo mismo que un niño cante el ABC a que reconozca cada letra y su sonido). Lo importante aquí es estar sumamente segura que cada niña reconozca cada letra en cualquier lugar.

Estas son algunas de las actividades que hemos realizado con las letras B y C. Todos los viernes serán dedicados a las actividades escolares que realicemos durante la semana, así que pendientes.

PS: Cada padre determina qué método utilizar para enseñar a sus hijos, aquí yo comparto el que yo utilizo que no necesariamente signifique que otros estén de acuerdo.

During the last weeks we have worked with the letters B and C. As a teacher I know that the best way is to begin with the most simple to facilitate the learning (to begin with the five vowels) but, competing with Barney is too strong. And it so happens that they have memorized the alphabet (I say memorize because is not the same thing that a child sings the ABC that to recognize each letter and its sound). What is important here is to be extremely sure that each girl recognize each letter in any place.

These are some of the activities that we have done with the letters B and C. Every Friday I will dedicate the posts to the school activities that we carry out during the week, so stay tuned.

Mi Agenda / My Agenda

Hoy mostraremos nuestras agendas de trabajo para organizarnos camino a la Navidad.

Recuerden que esta es la primera parte y que a medida que vayan pasando las semanas añadiremos más cosas a cada área de la agenda (de acuerdo a las cosas que cada una necesite en su hogar). Esta es mi agenda (en papel para tenerla accesible nada muy elaborado, vean las fotos).

El próximo paso es comenzar a trabajar. Las tareas para el próximo jueves, 22 de octubre serán:

1. Establece un presupuesto para las compras Navideñas.

2. Revisa las decoraciones que tienes y sí están en buenas condiciones (recuerda a notar en la sección correspondiente de tu agenda). Haz la lista de lo que necesitas comprar.

3. Comenzaremos la limpieza y organización: primero será el cuarto matrimonial y su armario.

Parece mucho pero, en realidad lo único que conlleva esfuerzo es la limpieza del cuarto. Saca fotos del antes y el después del cuarto para ver el progreso.

Today we will show our work agendas to get organized for Christmas.

Remember that this is the first part and as the weeks go by we will add more things to each area of the agenda (according to the things that each one need in its home). This it is my agenda (I made it on paper, nothing fancy - see the photos).

The next step is to start working. The tasks for next Thursday, October 22 will be:

1. Establishe a budget for the Christmas purchases.

2. Check the decorations that you have and if they are in good conditions (remember to write it in the corresponding section of your agenda). Do the list of what you need to buy.

3. We will begin the cleaning and organization: first will be the master bedroom and closet.

It seems a lot but, in reality the unique thing that involves effort is the cleaning of the room. Please take pictures of the before and the after the room to see the progress.

Detalles de la Fiesta / Party Details

Gracias por los comentarios acerca de la fiesta de las nenas. La verdad es que es la primera fiesta que planifico en tres semanas pero, gracias a Dios todo quedó muy bien y mis niñas disfrutaron y eso fue lo más importante para nosotros.

La fiesta era para las 5:00 p.m. y los invitados llegaron como a las 6. Estuvimos festejando a las 11:00 p.m. y mis niñas estuvieron todo ese tiempo despiertas y felices corriendo y jugando con otros niños que quedaban. La comida quedó sabrosa (arroz con cebolla, pollo y ensalada de coditos). Los aperitivos eran sandwiches, papitas saladas, chicharrones de pollo, rellenitos, albóndigas, mofongos (esto es hecho con plátano), empanadillas de carne, mini donas y quesitos. Algunos de los aperitivos fueron hechos por mí pero no la comida.

Los invitados estuvieron muy complacidos con nosotros y nos felicitaron por la fiesta. Quiero aclarar que el bizcocho no lo hice yo (es lo único que yo no sé hacer) esto fue un regalo de mi hermana.

La ropa de las nenas fue el regalo de cumpleaños de parte de mi mamá (dicho sea de paso, el día que la compramos entramos con ellas por primera vez a un vestidor para medirles ropa). En cuanto a los regalos recibieron una caseta de princesas, barbies, libros de colorear de princesas (obviamente) y dinero.

Nosotros les regalamos la nueva película de BlancaNieves, una de Dora la Exploradora, y unas pizarras que cargan para todos lados (yo diría que este es el regalo preferido de ellas).

Thanks for the comments about my girls' birthday party. The truth is that is the first party that I have put together in just three weeks but, thanks to God all went very well and my girls enjoyed it which is the most important thing.
The party was schedule to start at 5:00 p.m. and most guests arrived around 6 o'clock. The party went on until 11:00 p.m. and my girls were happy and awake all time, they were running and playing with all the other children. The food was delicious (rice with onion, chicken and elbow pasta salad ). The apetitazers were sandwiches, chips, chicken bites, meatballs, mofongos (this is done with banana), patties of meat, mini doughuts and more . Some of the aperitifs were made by me but not the food.

The guests were very pleased with us and they congratulated us for the party. I want to clarify that the cake was not made by me (is the unique thing that I do not know how to do) it was a gift from my sister.

The girls' clothes were my mom's birthday gift for them (by the way, the day that we bought those clothes was the first time my girls entered to a dressing room to try on clothes). As for the gifts they received a princesses cottage, barbies, princesses coloring books (obviously) and money.

We gave them the new movie of Snow White, one of Dora the Explorer, and magnetic drawing boards which they carry everywhere (I would say it is their favorite gift preferred).

We had a wonderful birthday party. It was a wonderful night besides that it was suppossed to be a rainy night. We had 60 guests (kids included). The girls enjoyed every minute of the party and definitely we were so proud of our little girls.
