Makes My Monday

El comienzo de mi semana es sensacional por que he pasado los pasados cuatro días en compañía de mi mamá. Mi mamá es sensacional y es la mejor madre, abuela y persona que he conocido. Por eso le doy gracias a Dios por la mamá tan grandiosa que me ha dado.

The beginning of my week is sensational because I have passed the past four days in company of my mom. My mom is sensational and is the best mother, grandmother and person that I have known. Therefore I give thanks to God for the magnificent mom that has given me.

Fin de Semana / Weekend

El fin de semana pasó y no hubo grandes novedades en nuestro hogar. El sábado fue un largo día. Temprano en la mañana fuimos al correo (Debbie tu falda va encamino), luego al ortondoncista, almorzamos, mi mamá, mi sobrina y yo fuimos al salón de belleza (que bueno es que te den tratamiento en el pelo) y después a pasar una noche tranquila.

Mientras que hoy domingo fue un poquito más ajetreada la mañana (casi todos los domingos es así) por que las tiendas cierran a las 5:00 p.m. (sí es algo ridículo pero, así son las leyes aquí). Realizamos unas gestiones y luego nos fuimos a cenar a un lugar llamado Sancho Panza. La comida es riquísima. Su especialidad es el mofongo con carne frita o de pollo, sabroso. Creo que aumentamos como 20 libras cada uno con todo lo que comimos,jajaja.

No tuvimos mucha aventura durante el fin de semana por lo que yo diría que fue bastante relajado en términos generales.

The weekend passed and there were no big news in our home. Saturday was a long day. Early in the morning we went to the post office (Debbie your skirt is on it's way), then to the ortondontist, we had lunch, my mom, my niece and I went to the beauty parlor (feels so good when someone works on your hair) and later we had a tranquil night .

While today Sunday morning was a little bit more hectic because the stores close at 5:00 p.m. (Yes is somewhat ridiculous but, thus are the laws here). We carry out some errands and then we went to have dinner to a called place Sancho Panza. The food is delicious. Its specialty is the mofongo with fried meat or chicken, tasty. I believe we gained 20 pounds each one with everything that we ate, hahaha.

We did not have a lot of adventure during the weekend for which I would say that it was quite relaxeding in general terms.

Viernes Largo / Long Friday

Todo comenzó a las 8:20 a.m. cuando mis queridas hijitas se levantaron (por supuesto para ellas es temprano por suelen dormir hasta las 9:00 a.m.). Ya en mi mente yo ideaba el plan ideal para sobrevivir el día. Cerca de las 8:30 recibo una llamada de mi mamá indicandome que en el vecino de la escuela donde ella trabaja había fumigado y el fuerte olor estaba dejandolos sin aire para que yo me comunicara con las agencias pertinentes. (Se preguntarán que hacía la directora de la escuela pues, muy sencillo nada por que no sabe reaccionar ante una emergencia). Yo realicé las llamadas desde mi casa y solucionamos el problema. Tanto mi mamá como otra compañera de trabajo y algunos niños tuvieron que recibir atención médica. La cuestión es que entre las llamadas, lavar ropa y limpiar la casa, ya era mediodía y ya había pasado la mitad del día sin yo haberme dado ni cuenta. Gracias a Dios mi mamá esta bien al igual que los demás.

Ya durante la tarde, estuve haciendo unas diligencias con mi mamá, mi sobrina y mis niñas. Fuimos a comer y mi mamá compró ropa para cada uno de los nietos. Luego, Pablo me pintó el pelo y yo doble la ropa que había lavado. Pero, aquí empezó la discusión entre Paola y Sofia por el televisor. Paola quería ver una película de Barbie mientras que Sofia simplemente quería ver los muñequitos que dan en la televisión y sí a eso le sumamos la falta de siesta en la tarde y el haberse levantado temprano pues ya sabran que de 7:00 p.m. a 8:20 p.m. fue una larga hora de lágrimas y gritos. De más está decir que Pablo y yo tuvimos nuestra prueba de paciencia hoy y la pasamos con 100%, jajaja.

All started at 8:20 a.m. when my beloved daugthers woke up (of course for them it was early because they are used to sleep until 9:00 a.m.). I already had in my mind the ideal plan to survive the day. Nearly 8:30 I receive a call from my mom indicating me that a neighbor of the school where she works had fumigated and the strong smell was leaving them without air so wanted me to call the pertinent agencies. (Some might ask what did the school principal did, well nothing because she does not know how to react on an emergency). I made the calls and we solve the problem. My mom and other coworker and some children had to receive medical attention. Between making the calls, washing clothes and cleaning the house, it was already noon, so half of the day had passed and I did not notice it. Thanks to God my mom is well just like the others.

Already during the afternoon, I was doing some diligence with my mom, my niece and my girls. We went to eat and my mom bought clothes for each one of the grandchildren. Then, Pablo colored my hair and I folded the clothes that had been washed. Then a huge discussion started between Paola and Sofia for the control of the television set. Paola wanted to see a Barbie movie DVD while Sofia simply wanted to see cartoons on tv as a bonus add the fact that they did not have their afternoon nap and woke up so early. Between 7:00 p.m. to 8:20 p.m. was a long hour, full of tears and yelling. Pablo and I had our test of patience today and we pass it with 100%, ha ha ha.

Nada Nuevo / Nothing New

Nuestro día fue bastante tranquilo (para las niñas y para mí). La verdad que el día pasó tan rápido que ni cuenta me dí. Estoy en el proceso de reorganizar la ropa en los armarios de manera que cuando llegue la Navidad todo eso este listo (no estoy loca, cuando vengan a ver ya van a estar despidiendo el año).

Realizamos diversas actividades con la letra E. Y hasta aquí todo bien. De repente, Paola sacó todos los juguetes y Sofia le ayudó después pero, Sofia estaba en panties y se orinó justo donde estaban los juguetes en el piso. Ella me avisó lo que había sucedido así que se imaginarán mi proceso de limpieza. Pero, no era nada que no tuviese remedio.

En otros temas continuamos trabajando en nuestro patio así que en los próximos días les mostrare los cambios que hemos hecho.

Our day was very tranquil (for the girls and me). The truth is that the day went so fast that I didn't noticed. I am working hard reorganizing our clothes so when Christmas arrives it will be done (I am not crazy, in a blink os an eye it will be new year's).

We did diverse activities with the letter E. Everything went well. Suddenly, Paola removed all the toys and Sofia helped her later but, Sofia was in panties and pee all the toys on the floor. She notified me what had happened. Just imagine cleaning process. But, it was nothing that did not have remedy.

In other themes we continued working in our patio so in the next days I will show you the changes that we have done.

Dijo Qué? / Say What

Es tiempo de jugar a Dijo Qué? que promueve Missy de Two Little Monkeys. Veamos que dijeron mis niñas esta vez.

El otro día yo estaba en el cuarto familiar con las niñas. Ellas veían muñequitos y yo verificaba mis blogs (que más podía hacer,ja). De repente ese olor a caca (lo siento pero fue así).
Yo: ¿Quién está caca?
Y ellas me ignoraron, vuelvo yo y pregunto y sale Paola y me dice:
Paola: Mami, Elmo está caca. (Estaban dando un anuncio en la televisión de Elmo)

Las siestas en mi casa últimamente son un desastre. Así que la hora de ellas dormir fue para hablar y reírse. Pero, yo las deje la hora completa en su cuarto por que era el tiempo de la siesta (aunque no estuviesen durmiendo) y además es el tiempo para yo recargar baterías para la tarde. Luego de una hora y media, entro al cuarto y cuando apago el aire acondicionado viene Paola y me dice: Mami, yo ya dormí. (Sí claro, como sino te hubiese escuchado hablando).

It is time to play Say What? that Missy host's Two Little Monkeys. Let's see what my girls said this time.

The other day I was in the family room with the girls. They were watching cartoons and I was reading my blogs (what else?!, ha). Suddenly the smell of poop (sorry, but that was it ).
I asked: "Who is poop?" And they ignored me. I asked again and Paola said: "Mommy, Elmo is poop". (They were showing an Elmo commercial in television).

Lately, nap time is a disaster. Now nap time is for talking and laughing. Still, I let them the complete hour in their room because it was siesta time (although they were not sleeping) and besides is the time for me to recharge batteries for the afternoon. After an hour and a half, I enter their room and when I put out the air conditioning Paola tells me: "Mommy, I was sleeping". (Yeah right, I heard them talking all the time).

My little girls made me laugh, and I love their kisses, hugs and every conversation they have with me. Thanks God for my precious and healthy girls, they are my life.

Pura Diversión / Just Fun

Oficialmente, ayer fue mi primer día completo con las niñas ya que Pablo comenzó a trabajar y el día fue maravilloso (toco madera para que siga así). Yo pensé que ellas iban a llorar descontroladamente cuando se dieran cuenta que él no estaba pero, en la mañana cuando se despertaron simplemente ellas me dijeron:"Papi se fue a trabajar". Y yo dije wao, esto es mejor de lo que yo pensé. Así que el día tranascurrió entre la limpieza del cuarto familiar y el de ellas, cocinar, pintar, jugar, ver televisión y una pedicura. No puedo pedir más, ciertamente un día sensacional.

Luego cuando Pablo ya estaba aquí decidí doblar ropa. Mientras él jugaba con ellas pues yo trabajaba pero, en un momento dado le digo que le mida unos pantalones a ellas para ver si les quedaban bien y otros eran para colgarlos en el armario. Pero, adivinen, ellos decidieron jugar con la ropa (ya verán las fotos).

En otros temas, necesito su opinión. Ustedes saben que retomamos el asunto de el entrenamiento para el baño pues bien, ellas pueden tener sus panties puestas por 2 ó 3 horas y no tienen ningún accidente pero, tampoco se quieren sentar en el inodoro (ni en el grande ni en el pequeño). Les gusta ponerse sus panties de princesas o de dora pero hasta allí. ¿Qué me recomiendan que haga? Necesito consejos urgentemente.

Officially, yesterday was my first complete day with the girls since Pablo started to work and the day was marvelous (I knock on wood ). I thought that they were going to cry when they realized that he was not home but, in the morning when they woke up and simply told me:" Daddy went to work". And I thought "wow, this is better than what I expected". So the day went between cleaning the family room and the girl's room, cooking, coloring, playing, to watching television and a pedicure. I can not ask for more, certainly it was a sensational day.

Then when Pablo was back home I decided to finish laundry. While he played with them I worked but, in a given moment I told him to fit them some pants to find out if they were ok and others were to hang them in the closet. But, guess what, they decided to play with the clothes (you'll see the photos).

In other themes, I need your opinion. You know that we went back again to the potty training issue. Well, they can use panties for 2 or 3 hours without accidents but, neither they want to sit down on the toilet (neither the large one or the small one). They like to wear their Princesses or Dora panties but that's all. What do you recommend me that do? I need advice urgently.

Se Acabaron las Vacaciones / Vacations are Over

Después de tres semanas y media de vacaciones Pablo tuvo que regresar a trabajar ayer. Gracias a Dios que no fue tan difícil el día por que solo trabajó hasta mediodía así que en la tarde nos fuimos a la playa. Por poco nuestro viaje a la playa se esfuma por que estaba lloviendo pero, de repente todo fue diferente y al agua nos fuimos. Pasamos una tarde fabulosa y luego a comer en Burger King por que no había animos para llegar a cocinar.

PS: Ya les diré como me va oficialmente en el primer día completo sin Pablo en la casa.

After three and a half of vacations Pablo had to return to work yesterday. Thanks God that was not so difficult because he had to work only until noon, so in the afternoon we went to the beach. Our trip to the beach almost didn't happen because it was raining but, suddenly it was over and off to beach we went. We had a fabulous afternoon, then we went to eat at Burger King because there was no mood to cook.

Dijo Qué / Say What?

Hoy estoy participando por primera vez en ¿Qué dijo? que realiza Missy de Two Little Monkeys. Por fin, pude escribir o acordarme de las cosas que están diciendo mis niñas.

En días pasados fuimos a la tienda Marshalls y luego de dar una vuelta por la tienda aterrizamos en el departamento de niños (no me explico por qué). Las niñas iban sentadas en su coche y yo iba al frente caminando. Cuando llegamos al área donde estaban los juguetes, más de la mitad de ellos estaban tirados en el piso (parecía día de Navidad). Cuando Pablo por fin pudo esquivar lo que había en el piso y llegar donde yo estaba Paola comienza a hacer gestos de alarma. Y de repente dice bien alarmada y con los ojos bien abiertos "Mami, que revolú! Oh, que revolú!" Ella estaba alarmadísima por el reguero que había.

Today I am participating for the first time in Say what? hosted by Missy of Two Little Monkeys. At last, I can write the things that my girls are saying.

Recently we went to Marshalls and after a walk by the store we ended at the kids department (I can not imagine why). The girls were seated in their stroller and I went at the front walking. When we arrive at the area where were the toys are, more than half of them were thrown on the floor (seemed like Christmas). When Pablo finally avoided all the stuff on the floor and arrived where I was, Paola started to do gestures of alarm. And suddenly she said very alarmed and with her eyes wide open: "Mommy, What a mess! Oh, what a mess!" She was surprised by the mess she have just seen.

Lo que hace el comienzo de mi semana especial es la celebración del cumpleaños de mi querido esposo Pablo (por favor, no sean curiosas no les dire la edad,jajaja). Hoy mi querida mamá cumple años (ni piensen que les diré cuántos cumple por que sino me mata, para ella la edad es un secreto). Le doy gracias a Dios por haberme dado a mi mamá. Today is my dear mom's birthday (don't even think about how many years because she might kill me, for her age is a secret). I thank God for my mom.
