Three Kings Day 2009 / Día de los Tres Reyes Magos 2009

Oficialmente el pasado martes, 6 de enero finalizamos las Navidades en Puerto Rico. La última celebración fue la de los Tres Reyes Magos. La noche del 5 de enero (Víspera de los Reyes) los niños cortan yerba para los camellos y la colocan en una cajita para que los camellos coman cuando vengan a la casa, también se deja un vaso con agua. Al siguiente día, los niños reciben con mucha emoción los regalos que dejan los Reyes en sus hogares. En muchos hogares celebran promesas cantadas en honor a los Reyes (el propósito es cantar unos aguinaldos en honor a los Reyes por algo que le pidieron que se cumplió).

Paola y Sofia recibieron muchos regalos. Entre estos estaban: una cocinita, coches para muñecas de las princesas de Disney, ropa, libros de colorear, triciclos, muñecas, equipo de limpieza, pantallas, etc. Gracias a los Tres Reyes Magos por tantos regalos hermosos que les traeron a las niñas. Officially last Tuesday, January 6th was the last day of Christmas time in Puerto Rico. The last celebration was the Three Kings day. The night of January 5th (Eve of the Kings) the children cut grass for the camels and they place it in a little box so that the camels eat when they come to the house, also a glass with water is left. The next day, children receive with a lot of emotion the gifts thatthe Kings left in their homes. In many homes they celebrate promises sung in honor of the Kings (the purpose is to sing in honor of the Kings, giving thanks for all that was received during the last year).

Paola and Sofia received many gifts. Among these they were: a little kitchen, strollers for their Disney princesses, clothes, coloring books, tricycles, dolls, cleaning toys, earrings, etc. Thanks to the Three Kings for so many beautiful gifts they brought for the girls.
