Carrera del Pavo / Turkey Trot

The day before Thanksgiving they had a turkey trot at school (well, at a park). It was a really fun day and my little girls (well, not to little) did a wonderful job. Sofia won first prize and won a turkey and Paola handled it very well.

Acción de Gracias # 2 / Thanksgiving # 2

La mañana del Día de Acción de Gracias fue muy tranquila para nosotros. A media tarde fuimos a casa de mis padres donde tendríamos el almuerzo familiar. Y en la noche, fuimos a la casa de mi prima a cenar. Un día muy bueno en familia.

The morning of Thanksgiving Day was very tranquil for us. Halfway through the afternoon we went to my parents' home where we had the family lunch. And in the night, we went my cousin's house to have dinner. A very good day in family.

Acción de Gracias # 1/ Thanksgiving # 1

El pasado sábado (19 de noviembre) celebramos nuestra primera cena de Acción de Gracias. Todo fue un acontecimiento y las nenas estaban sumamente emocionadas. Hicimos una oración y luego ellas la terminaron con la oración que hacen en su escuela, fue bien emotivo.

Esperamos poder repetir la hazaña en Navidad ya que estas serán gratos recuerdos para ellas y que ojalá se las transmitan a sus hijos.

Last Saturday (November 19) we celebrated our first thanksgiving supper. It was a big event for us and the girls were extremely touched. We did a prayer and then they finished it with the prayer they say in school, it was very emotional.

We hope to be able to repeat the feat in Christmas since these will be pleasing memories for them and I hope it will be transmitted to their children.

Semana de la Puertorriqueñidad / Puerto Rican Week at School

La semana pasada se celebró la semana de la puertorriqueñidad en la escuela. Hubo varias actividades durante la semana las cuáles las niñas disfrutaron mucho.
