After two failed intents (May and August of 2009) we are back on the battle to the "potty training". At this time I understand that we should be all prepared to start this task and therefore I failed two times. This is a process that requires dedication and a lot of patience, is a process of teaching. Now, we have taken up again the process and so far is a success. The first few days they had to sat down every 20 minutes on their toilets (needless to say, that the first day I finished super exhausted but, I did not yield). Their incentive is to use the computer for 20 minutes. While they are seated I entertain them trimming, writing, doing handicrafts, painting their nails, in short anything that it occurs to me.
In spite of the fact that in the mornings they use their diapers to do poop (therefore in some photos you'll see them in diapers) then in panties. The accidents occurred during the first days but, then none. The process is called:
enthusiastic girls + focused mom = soon zero diapers

YAY! Congratulations, Annie! It sounds like you have been working hard (and the girls too!). Wishing you continued success.
Ugh, I'm potty training one of my 2-yr old twins right now and it's exhausting. He's got the pee part down but I have to remind him to go potty every 30 minutes, or at least try to go. Poop is a whole 'nother issue...oh well, baby steps, right?
Oh Annie GREAT JOB to you and your girls!!! You are such an inspiration to me...I'm glad I'm not alone in having failed attempts to potty train. Keep it up!
That is great Annie! I hope that the next time you post it will say that they are 100% potty trained! It is hard work and takes a lot of patients!
Good luck! Potty training is so hard. Boys take forever. My 4 almost 5 year old still has to wear a diaper at night or he wets the bed. Its a very slow process for him. Here's hoping that my youngest takes to it a bit easier!
Oh, I am working on this same thing too...my daughter is totally uninterested...she "gets it" but she doesn't care.

It is SUCH a process, that's for sure!! You are much more patient and creative with your girls than I was with mine : )
E and Z still use pull-ups when they sleep. Many times they are dry after naps, but being in their bed for 11-12 hours overnight is just too long for them to wait, and neither Tom or I want to deal with getting up for potty breaks at this point.
Congratulations! It is definitely worth all the hard work. Hang in there!
Great work! I have Hannah an M&M every time she used her potty and eventually had to give them p because 1) she was using her potty all the time and 2) I was eating them all! :)
That is awesome, Annie. Potty training is so hard. It took forever for Dakota to catch on. We have been diaper free with him for about 6 months. We still do a pull up at night..we are working on night potty training now.
I'm glad the girls are doing great!
Yea!!! It is so much work but so worth it!! Keep up the good work.
Good luck Annie...Our third time actually worked! Hopefully yours will too :) It is so hard with one, I can't imagine doing it with two!!!
Yea!! I'm starting soon too. :)
Good Luck Annie, I know it's tough with one I could only imagine two!
Good luck. It's tough isn't it? And, girls can be so stubborn.
I hope they get it this time.
And, Izzy had the poop issue, too!
Potty training is not one of my favortie stages. You are doing great, hang in there! It takes a while, but once the kids are potty trained, it's so nice!
Potty training...the process is miserable, but it's so great once it's done! Good luck with your potty training adventure and here's to continued success!
