Weekend recap!!!

We had a three day weekend because of storm Erika. On Thursday, students left school at lunch time and teachers left at 2:00 pm.

Friday: Everything went out because of storm Erika. we had problems with power electricity because of the winds and water was out too. Our day consisted on board games, family time, long conversations and enjoyed a relax day at home as a family.

Saturday: Pablo has work and we slept in. By mid afternoon he went with the girls to ride bycicles. They had a great together.

Sunday: I work with my lesson plans and made a good progress on my work.

Definitely, it was a great weekend besides the problems that storm Erika caused.

August Recap

Well, August is almost gone and I don't had time to blog. Now, is time for a long recap to our month.

We started August with my birthday on August 1. Also we went to see Disney on Ice.

On Monday, August 10 we had our first day of school. 

As always my girls were excited and happy to go back to school. 

We had everything ready the night before.

We woke up super early and got ready for our big day but we had some pictures before we left.

Summer: days 64 and 65

Day 64: Our day consisted on shopping: new uniforms and bags for school. After that we took the girls to ran bycicle and scooter. They love it. When we got home the girls and I prepared got their school supplies ready and put them in their bags. They also helped Pablo with the laminator and got my decorations ready.

Day 65: For these school year I will teach first grade. So today a couple of my coworkers went to school and cleaned our classrooms. I came back to the classroom I used for two years (last year my classroom was in other building). It was a disaster and was so gross. I used the hose to cleaned the floor and windows. I took some pictures of the classroom when I first walked up. But stayed tuned because is a working in process. 

While I was at school Pablo was at home with the girls. They are working very hard painting the house. (stay tuned for pictures)

Summer: day 63

We slept in again because we are on our last days of summer vacations. Highlights from today are:

* Paola started using her bicycle without training wheels 

* I got all my school stuff organized and ready to use

* Pablo is peeling out the paint of the house because he is going to paint it during the week.

* We started to get the school materials for the girls ready.

Recap of the things we do during the month of July that need to be crossed of our summer bucket list:

* The girls participated in a modeling presentation at a new local store

* Went to the fair

* We had a birthday party for the girls BFF

*  Visited La Parguera

*  Make cupcakes

* Celebrated our 16 wedding anniversary

* They had a summer fashion competition for their modeling class

* Went to the movies and saw the Minions

* Went to a dedication activity for my niece

* Visited Ponce

* Participated in a parade around our town

* Had manicures and pedicures at home with the girls

* Enjoyed a fun afternoon at the pool

* Run bicycle and scooters at a little plaza 

* Had lots of movie nights at home thanks to Disney channel

Summer: day 62 My Birthday

I had a wonderful day at home relax. First I woke up at 11:30 am, Amen!!!!!!! Stayed on pj's until 5:00 pm went took a shower and got ready to go to Disney On Ice. It was awesome!!!!!
